I am an artist, husband, dog-dad, teacher, traveler, and learner. I am very interested in investigating the play between surface and form. Exploring both functional and sculptural work - I pull inspiration from the landscape of coastal Maine, our travels, brushstrokes, textural mark-making, and ideas related to tattooing. My current exploration is related to the ideas behind legacy, artifacts, and how we pass down our experiences and stories from one generation to the next. My original and small batch ceramics are made with stoneware clays, layered with slips and underglazes, and electric fired with a variety of glazes. My hope is that you enjoy and use my work as part of your everyday life.
